Our bear hunts have been very popular in the past several years. We are able to hunt from the cabins at the Wilderness Gateway in May. We then move into tent camps and go as far as the snow will allow. Some of our wilderness areas have not been bear hunted for years. Fall is the only time it is accessible. The entire area has a longer season and lower tag fees.
