At Kohls Outfitting we spend a great deal of time in the hills. We pride ourselves in our stock and our staff. Our horses and mules are very good at what they do. They are some of the best anywhere. Our staff is experienced in the Rocky Mountain wilderness to ensure you have a good time during your horseback riding vacation. Safety is at the top of the list for both you and the stock.

We are also able to offer Rocky Mountain horseback rides from our lodge along the Locsha River between Missoula, Mt. and Lewiston, Id. These overnight trips include a horseback trail ride high overlooking the Locsha River, cowboy cooking, and a room in our cabins. Our area happens to be on the Lewis and Clark Trail. We are located across from the Historic Ranger Station along US Highway 12 at the Wilderness Gateway. The perfect location for a family horse vacation.
